👋🏻 Hi, I’m Ashley
I’m a senior level product designer and creative strategist originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, now based in Lisbon. I’ve spent the past seven years working across early-stage startups and creative-led platforms, usually in end-to-end roles where I’m shaping product direction, user experience, and brand execution all at once. I’ve got a strong product mindset, but I always bring a creative angle — Driven by curiosity, and a commitment to meaningful impact, I help startups and global enterprise teams convert complex problems into elegant user-first solutions.
Right now I’m open to collaborate with teams creating impactful work — balancing strategy, design, and cultural relevance.

EXPERIENCE
Throughout a multidisciplinary career rooted in fine arts and shaped by UX, product, and systems design, Ashley has led projects that balance conceptual depth with real-world clarity. Her work spans early-stage startups, internal tools, and complex digital ecosystems — with a focus on transforming bloated, overlooked systems into intuitive experiences that quietly improve how people live and work.
As Lead Designer at Cotiss, she helped define a corruption-resistant procurement platform from the ground up — bringing structure, trust, and usability to a traditionally joyless sector. Other highlights include shaping investment tools for Kernel to shift financial behaviours, and refining creator-first platforms like VidApp to empower independence and ease.
Ashley approaches design as both strategist and craftsperson — blending deep research, creative direction, and systems thinking to create meaningful outcomes. Her practice is grounded in the belief that true impact often begins in the least glamorous places: under the hood of broken tools, misaligned systems, and silent pain points.
She has collaborated with teams across Australasia, the UK, and Europe, and contributed to projects recognised by the Best Design Awards, Good Design Awards & Indigo Design Awards.
Now based in Lisbon, Ashley is open to collaborations with purpose-led teams and studios that value thoughtful, enduring design. She is especially drawn to projects with reach, rhythm, and room to ask better questions — where design can transcend the screen and help shape systems, services, and stories that matter.
